Hassan Saleem, Co-Founder
Hassan is a native of Memphis and co-founder of Build a Better Us. He met the Lord at the age of seven, but didn’t get to know Him intimately until the age of 22 and has been devoted to teaching and ministering his Word ever since. As a young adult, he began ministering to youth and his peers through coaching various athletic teams and being involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Through many years of training young boys in their individual sporting events, the Lord revealed to him, that it was his calling to train them to become godly young men and teach them the gospel of Jesus Christ.
He has been happily married and committed to his wife Tiffeny since 2001. With this union, the Lord blessed them with three wonderful sons. After being away for his college matriculation since 1998, the Lord lead Hassan to move back home in 2006 from Frankfort, Kentucky to minister to inner city youth as a teacher in the Memphis City Schools. In addition to his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Health from Kentucky State University, Hassan has a Masters of Education Administration from the University of Cincinnati. He uses his gifts and abilities to mentor men in his community and multiple married and engaged couples, serving as an advocate for faithfulness to the Lord and also faithfulness to their respective spouses in everyday life. Hassan is most passionate about prayer, Christ-centered family and authentic biblical community.
Hassan currently serves on the elder board at Fellowship Memphis Church with numerous shepherding ministries within the congregation involving small group leadership and also as chairman of the Downtown Outpost Advisory Board. As a passionate, prayer warrior he and his wife serve as the Memphis Weekend to Remember Marriage Conference Prayer Team Directors. In his spare time, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three sons.
